Skyped family on Christmas day, so he did not do email this week. He is doing well and we really enjoyed the chance to talk with him! The service
missionary couple in Skopje, the Nelsons, have a blog and mentioned a few
things about Richard that I can report on....
It's snowing
in Skopje right now! The second picture is the group that visited the Nelsons for Family
Home Evening on Christmas Eve.
The Nelsons invited the missionaries over the next day on traditional
Christmas (here Christmas will be celebrated on Jan 6, Orthodox Christians) to
cook French toast for breakfast. Elder Kranjc made a cake for dinner and Elder
Prince made his famous broccoli salad. The rest of us worked on making funeral
potatoes, baking a ham and deviled eggs. Sister Nelson made the Christmas sleighs and the gifts
shown in the picture; Elder Prince and Sister Schofield modeled their
Christmas presents. Earlier in the week the missionaries visited a mosque to understand better what 1/3 of Macedonians practice as Muslims.
